Yarn Care
Caring For Your Hand Knits:
Hand dyed yarn is subject to variation between skeins, so it’s best to buy the full amount needed for a project and alternating between skeins when knitting to compensate for the differences in tone and dye pattern.
Your yarn has been dyed with professional grade acid dyes. Some dyes may release color for a short time with each wash. For higher contrast colorwork, it is always a good idea to swatch and block in order to test for color transfer, and steam blocking may be best when finishing.
Otherwise, to block your completed project, give it a quick soak in room temperature water and a non-rinse wool wash before squeezing excess water out gently and lying flat to dry, or pinning into shape as needed.
